So, we’ve noticed that ceilings are getting way, way more interesting these days. A few decades ago a spray-on popcorn ceiling was about as fancy as it got, but now there’s real reason to look up in many of Nashville’s best made homes. In this post we’re sharing some of our favorite ceiling inspiration photos, all sourced from Houzz.com. Are you on Houzz? Start following Stratton Exteriors on there, K?

1) We are bonkers for a porch with a painted ceiling.

2) Likewise for ceilings done entirely in reclaimed wood.

3) How about this ceiling done in tin tile?

4) And here’s a coffered ceiling with wood paneling.

5) This sitting room really shines with a custom plaster ceiling.

6) This one, too.

7) This Mediterranean-style kitchen uses a brick face to create a statement ceiling.

8) This butler’s pantry got a dose of fancy when the ceiling was installed with an enlarged trellis pattern and then painted.

9) Here’s a wooden vaulted ceiling that juxtaposes awesomely against fresh white walls.

10) And a bold black ceiling is simply wow.

Which is your favorite? And which rooms in a house do you think most deserve a fantastic ceiling? We gotta go with the bedroom. After all, what other ceiling gets stared at as often?
