Our work at 1104 Preston Drive was done for only a minute or two before we started in earnest on our next project: 1009 Stockell Street, in East Nashville’s Cleveland Park. From the outside, this little green house, built in 1930, doesn’t look so bad.

But inside was 800 sq ft of haunted house:

There were two bedrooms and one bathroom.

And one highly unappetizing kitchen…

Mmm, mmm good!

Don’t worry though; that disgrace of a kitchen is a thing of the past. Last week, in the course of two days, we gutted this place so hard you wouldn’t even recognize it.

That’s because we’re about to give this little lady a big fat makeover. In fact, the super shabby 800 sq ft pictured here will soon be a 2,000 sq ft home that’s to die for.

Here are just a couple of the renderings from architect David Baird:

I can’t even tell you how excited I am about this particular flip. We hope you’re interested in following the transformation. If so, you’ll find us sharing the progress here, as well as on the Urban Properties blog.
