Its that time of year again football is on the television, the leaves are changing, the cooler weather has arrived. You may be tailgating at the big game or just in your back yard with your buddies and it’s time to pull out the cornhole boards! Now, you could go buy a regulation set at any sporting goods store, or you can tackle this medium level D.I.Y. project in a couple of hours, and end up with a killer custom set. Show off your favorite school’s team colors, or sport your patriotism with an American flag. I’ve seen all kinds, superheros, pin-ups, sharks, a serene beach scene or paint it to make it look like the 18th hole at your favorite golf course. The possibilities are endless!
Here at Stratton Exteriors our very own Corey Huff has just completed a spectacular set of cornhole boards that show his Tennessee Vols pride. He took it to the next level by adding a reverse side paint job to a clear plexiglass top, so no matter how many games he and his buddies play the surface will stay pristine. If you are looking to make your very own regulation set here is the materials you will need:
Here are the regulation dimensions.
Hope this helps! If you finish your boards send us a picture and we will post it to our Facebook page, and if you are ever in our neck of the woods in East Nashville and you want to play a friendly game of cornhole, Stratton Exteriors is up for a challenge anytime.
