Creating A Work Space
Many people don’t give much thought to what they eat everyday. For others though, their food is examined, prepared, and consumed with a mix of science and art always in mind.
Every artist needs their studio like every scientist needs their laboratory and chefs are no different. They need their space to work as well, and that’s precisely what we created during one of our latest Nashville kitchen remodeling jobs.
Before: Cramped Kitchen
This was the original kitchen. While the homeowners efficiently worked with the space they had, they dreamed of having a more open space that was suitable for both dining and entertaining.
We were able to make their wish come true by created a design that would remove the wall that you see through the arched doorway.
As you can see, removing the wall would allow for a much larger kitchen space. Once we were able to establish the amount of room we were working with, we began to collaborate with the owners on the design and layout of their kitchen renovation. What we came up with was amazing!
After: The Urban Farmhouse Kitchen
As you can see, we were certainly able to give the owners of this home the spacious kitchen they desired. The kitchen has an urban feel that may come from the sleek lines of the cabinetry and the clean look of the stainless steel appliances and stool. These features are balanced by a rustic touch that stems from the wood countertops and the light fixtures that have been outfitted with Edison bulbs.
Here’s a look from another angle.
We love the way the glass fronts on these cabinets allow for a nice display of dish ware and fine beverages. The classic subway tile backsplash will never be outdated either.
